How to Make Walnut Stuffed Dates Dipped in Chocolate
Start by opening your date lengthwise, if not already. If there is a pit remove it. Then, grab your chopped walnuts and stuff into the opening of the date.
Melt your chocolate by adding them to a microwave-safe bowl and warm up in 15 second increments, stirring in between. If the chocolate is not becoming smooth add a dab of coconut oil.
Dip the walnut stuffed date in the melted chocolate and immediately sprinkle on the flaky salt.
Pop these in the freezer for about 15 minutes so the chocolate can harden. Then, you can enjoy!

Expert Tips and Tricks
I’ve made these a few times now and have come up with some tips to help make it successful:
- Be sure to only microwave in short increments, and stir in between. You want the chocolate to be in the microwave for the least amount of time possible!
- Use fresh dates. Once they get older they shrivel up a bit!
- Pick up pitted dates so you don’t need to remove the pit yourself.
