These Simple Oreo Spiders only require 4 ingredients, can be made by children, and there’s no baking involved!

When to Make These
At first glance, these seem like the perfect sweet for Halloween. Well, they are. But they’re also great for other events!
You can make these during a child play date as both an activity and a snack.
They could be made on National Oreo Day (March 6th). You mean to tell me you won’t already have plans for this sacred day!? Well now you do!
If March 6th doesn’t work for you, make them on March 14th, National Spider Day.
What I am saying here is that you don’t exclusively have to make these Simple Oreo Spiders during the spooky month of October.
Ingredients for Simple Oreo Spiders
- Oreo’s of choice
- Small pretzels
- Chocolate chips
- Candy eyes
Four ingredients. That’s all you need! You can easily find Oreo’s, pretzels, and chocolate chips at any grocery store.
For the Oreo’s, pick any flavor. I chose peanut butter Oreo’s because, duh! Using mega-stuffed Oreo’s would make a giant spider. How fun would that be!?
You may have a bit more trouble finding the candy eyes. If they aren’t at your normal store you can look at a craft store like Michaels. If all else fails, Amazon will have them!
How to Make Simple Oreo Spiders
These Simple Oreo Spiders are both a delicious treat and a fun activity!
Step 1: Break your small pretzels in half. It may seem like they will just break apart but trust me, they’re pretty good at breaking where you want them to.
Step 2: Stick pretzel half into six spots around the Oreo to look like legs.
Step 3: Microwave you chocolate chips. If you need it to be a bit more smooth, add a small amount of coconut oil.
Step 4: Add a dot of chocolate to the back of a candy eye. Place on the Oreo where you choose. You can put 1, 2, 3+ eyes on each spider!

Simple Oreo Spiders
Ingredients
- 10 Oreos
- 30 Small Pretzels
- 1 Tablespoon Chocolate Chips
- Candy Eyes
- 1/2 Teaspoon Coconut Oil Optional
Instructions
- Break your small pretzel rods in half. Stick 3 halves on each side into the inner stuf of the Oreo.
- Microwave you chocolate chips. If it is not spreadable, add coconut oil.
- Add a small dab of chocolate to the back of a candy eye. Apply the eye to the Oreo. Repeat as much as you would like!
