Take the classic chocolate chip cookie to the next level by using coconut sugar instead of white cane sugar! These Coconut Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies will change the way you use sugar in baking going forward!
Preheat your oven to 350℉. Grab out your baking sheet and set aside.
In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside
In anther bowl add your room temperature butter and coconut sugar. Cream together with an electric mixer. Then, add in the egg and vanilla extract.
Use a large spoon to incorporate ¾ cup of the chocolate chips into the dough until evenly distributed.
Use a cookie scoop to grab even portions of the dough. Place on the baking sheet. Repeat until baking sheet is full, with about 1-2 inches between cookies. Use the remaining ¼ cup of chocolate chips to top the cookie dough.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Once done, allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 3-5 minutes. If you enjoy a salted cookie, add that now. Then, place the cookies on a cooling rack and repeat. Enjoy!
