How to Make Spinach and Cream Stuffed Mushrooms
This elevated stuffed mushroom appetizer may seem intimidating but we can take it step-by-step to make it simple.
Before you start cooking you’re going to want to clean your mushrooms, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and warm up the cream cheese a bit.
These fungi are like sponges so cleaning them similarly to what you do with berries won’t work. Here is a guide for proper mushroom cleaning.
Then, once dry, take a spoon and gently remove the centers of each mushroom. Be careful to not press all the way through, piercing the mushroom. Set these aside.
Over low-medium heat add olive oil and galore to a small saucepan. Once the garlic starts to get fragrant add in the spinach. Mix this every few seconds to allow it to wilt evenly.
Now, add this mixture to a medium bowl with the cream cheese and parmesan cheese. The warmth of the spinach mixture will soften the cream cheese and parmesan to make for a thick, dip-like consistency.
Add spoonfuls of the mixture to the mushroom then sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese. Place the stuffed mushrooms in an oven-safe dish and bake in the oven for about 28 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown.
Once these are done, try to let them to cool prior to digging in!
