In the world of fall flavors pumpkin spice and cinnamon apple are the top two contenders. While pumpkin spice conquers the world of coffee, cinnamon apple tends to take the cake with doughnuts. I thought it was time to give pumpkin spice a chance as a doughnut.
This Pumpkin Spice Doughnut recipe makes the playing field more even. Skip the apple orchard and make these at home!
Chocolate Topping
Tired of the normal doughnut topping? Me too. That’s why I dipped the top of these doughnuts in chocolate!
The chocolate flavor pairs perfectly with the pumpkin spice flavor of the doughnut. There’s no over-powering of either! Bonus: it’s so easy.
All you have to do is melt chocolate chips and a little spoonful of coconut oil in the microwave. Then, dip the top of your doughnut in the bowl! From here you can enjoy immediately or allow the chocolate topping to harden.

What will the difference be in the final product if one uses ALL-PURPOSE flour in place of bread flour? Thank you.

If you use all-purpose flour the donuts may not hold together QUITE as well, but they will be more soft and less chewy! So, basically, it will still be good!
