Why You’ll LOVE These Cookies
You are going to LOVE these oatmeal chocolate chip cookies without brown sugar! I have made these cookies many times and shared them with friends and family. They all have given great comments on them!
They taste as if they are a no-bake cooke (which, who doesn’t love) but also have the great flavor from being a baked cookie. In addition, there are a bit more chocolate chips than a classic cookie recipe would use. This is a major positive for me!
When to Make Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Make these oatmeal chocolate chip cookies when you are craving a no-bake, don’t have brown sugar on hand, or just want a delicious batch of cookies!
These are also a great option to bring to any gathering as many love chocolate chip cookies, but it’s less likely for someone else to bring ones with oats.

Ingredients
Most of these ingredients will be ones you already have in your kitchen! This means you may be able to make a batch without having to run to the store.
Oats– Be sure to use old fashioned oats!
Chocolate Chips– I used semi-sweet.
Sugar– There’s no brown sugar in this recipe. You’ll need granulated sugar!
In addition, you’ll need: baking soda, baking powder, salt, all-purpose flour, cinnamon, butter, an egg, and vanilla extract.
How to Make Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Without Brown Sugar
To start making any cookie recipe be sure to grab out all of your ingredients to ensure they are at proper temperature (and you don’t need to make a last minute trip to the store!). Also, preheat your oven so it is up to temperature when you are ready to pop the cookies in.
In a medium bowl combine the oats, flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Then, set this aside.

In a large bowl pop in the sugar and room temperature butter. Use a hand mixer to cream together. Then, while continuing to mix, add the egg, and vanilla extract.
Continue to use the hand mixer to slowly combine the medium bowl of dry ingredients into the large bowl of wet ingredients.
Then, mix in the chocolate chips! This can be down using the hand mixer or a large spoon.
Use a cookie scoop to pop equal portions of dough on a baking sheet. You can either leave them as-is or use your palm to flatten them- the choice is yours!
Bake these cookies for about 10 minutes, allow them to cool for at least 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a cooling rack. Enjoy!
