Ingredients to Make Cherry Energy Bars
You may need to make a quick trip to your local grocery for some of these ingredients, if they’re not staples for you but it will definitely be worth it!
You’ll need:
- Dates
- Dried cherries
- Almonds
- Cinnamon
- Salt
You may have some leftover dates, dried cherries, and almonds after this Cherry Energy Bar recipe. Down below, check out two of my stuffed dates recipes. They are delicious ways to use up the rest of your package!
If you enjoy yogurt, top your morning bowl with your remaining dried cherries and almonds! They will give an awesome flavor and crunch without having to use fresh fruit and granola.

Substitutions and Additions
If you aren’t a fan of cherries, fret not! In their place you can use any dried fruit! Unfortunately, you cannot swap out the dates as they are the glue that hold these bars together.
Instead of almonds you can use any chopped nut. Try using cashews, peanuts, macadamia nuts, or pecans!

Cherry Energy Bar Recipe
Cherry Energy Bars
Ingredients
- 10 Medjool Dates Pitted
- ½ Cup Dried Cherries
- ½ Cup Almonds Chopped
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Line a 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a food processor add the pitted dates, dried cherries, chopped almonds, cinnamon, and salt. Pulse until evenly distributed.
- Press the mixture into the baking dish.
- It can be consumed immediately but is more likely to fall apart. Allow to set in the refrigerator for at least two hours for a more durable energy bar. Enjoy!
