Maple Syrup vs. Breakfast Syrup
Most people have a strong stance as to what they top their waffles with. It’s possible you’ve never heard the term breakfast syrup before but just think of your classic Aunt Jemima or Mrs. Butterworth’s. Its two main component is high fructose corn syrup and corn syrup. Maple syrup comes from the sap of maple species of trees. Both syrups are very energy dense with high amounts of sugar
The best part about opting for maple syrup is that you can support producers in your area, or you can go tap a tree yourself!
