When I go looking for a recipe there’s always a long backstory about the recipe developers life journey. I know you’re here for a recipe so I’ll keep it short. This is more of a reason why I decided to make these.
I have what you call noodle arms. I am weak. So I decided to start working out with weights (yiKeS!!) and i’m not about to let all that hard work go to waste. I tend to struggle in the protein consumption department so I decided to turn to a supplement (yes, protein powder is a supplement and should only be used when you are not getting what you need from whole foods first). The problem is I would rather eat my calories than drink them, so I wanted to make something edible from my protein powder. Thus, the Strawberry Lemonade Protein Ball was developed.
Strawberry Lemonade Protein Balls
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Rolled Oats
- 1 TBSP Date Nectar Honey can be substituted
- 8 Medium Strawberries
- 2 Scoops Vital Proteins Strawberry Lemon Beauty Collagen
- 1 Single Serving Lemonade Powder Packet
- 1 TBSP Chia Seeds
- 1 TBSP Hemp Hearts
- 4 TBSP Peanut Butter
- 3 Medjool Dates Chopped
Instructions
- Add all dry ingredients and strawberries to a medium sized bowl.
- Mix in wet ingredients one at a time. You may need to add more or less in order to reach a dough-like consistency.
- Roll into desired size and place on a plate. I made mine about 1/2in in diameter, but this step is all about preference.
- Place in freezer for an hour.
- Enjoy as a snack, yogurt bowl topping, or anyway you like:)
Notes
- keep a small dish of water next to you as you do this. Dip your fingers in it between each ball in order to keep them from sticking to you
