Ready to ring in summer with a classic s’more but not able to have a bonfire? A S’mores Doughnut is just what you need. You probably don’t need a recipe for the type you roast over a campfire but maybe you do for the doughnut version. I’ve got your back.
Are Baked Doughnuts Difficult?
Short answer: no. Slightly longer answer: they can be as difficult as you make them.
One of the best ways to make this recipe simple is to have the right tools. I would just having a doughnut pan. If you don’t have one yet, here is the one I have!
The doughnut aspect is easy! Actually, the toppings are easy too. It can just get a bit messy. Ever bake with melted chocolate before? It ends up getting everywhere. After, you have the mini marshmallows. You will be broiling them. This too isn’t difficult, it’s just simple to let the time in the oven get away from you, making them easy to burn.
If I haven’t got you thinking this is something you can handle yet think of it this way. A baked doughnut is the EASIEST way to make a doughnut. There’s no boiling oil or pesky yeast to deal with. It’s simple. Just mix your ingredients together. Bake. Decorate.
Want to know the best part about a s’more doughnut? You can have them year-round! Don’t let a couple feet of snow get in between you and the wonderful flavor of s’mores. Or if it is summer, skip the pesky mosquitos by staying in!
Pre-Crumbed Graham Crackers
Did you know Honey Maid and Keebler make graham crackers that already crushed?! This means you no longer have to throw your graham crackers into a ziplock baggie and crush them with your trusty rolling pin.
p.s. you can find them down the baking aisle not the cracker aisle!
Pin NOW to save for later!
