Why You’ll LOVE This Recipe
In the fall every food comes in a pumpkin spice flavor. Your yogurt may as well also be pumpkin spice!
Many recipes don’t require the full can of pumpkin. This recipe is a great way to use up that remaining pumpkin.
Ingredients
Pumpkin– I used 100% pure pumpkin but if you can only find another similar version of canned pumpkin, this recipe will still turn out great.
Greek Yogurt– For a less sweet version use plain. If you prefer a sweeter yogurt opt for vanilla!
Nutmeg– This is where the ‘pumpkin spice’ comes into play!
Cinnamon– You know this would show up!
Now, I don’t think it can make the list of official ingredients but I add a pinch of salt to the mix. This may seem strange but if you add just a small amount the pumpkin spice flavors are emphasized!
How to Make Pumpkin Spice Yogurt
Making this Pumpkin Spice Yogurt is incredibly easy!
Start by measuring out your yogurt into your desired container (see the Expert Tips and Tricks section for a detail on this!). Next up, add in the pumpkin puree and spices. Give it a good mix and you’re ready to go!
Whether you’re going to eat it with a spoon or have it as a dip you’re sure to get the fall flavors you’re looking for!

Pumpkin Spice Yogurt Nutrition
Pumpkin is an amazing source of vitamin A. This is a fat-soluble vitamin. That means it can only be absorbed when consumed with (or around) consumption of fat. So, using a whole-fat greek yogurt for this Pumpkin Spice Yogurt would be a great way to ensure you’re getting as much nutrition as you can from this recipe!
You’ve probably heard that vitamin A is good for your eyesight but have you heard about how it also plays roles in: bone remodeling, white blood cell activity, cell growth, and cell division.1 These are some awesome benefits for simply enjoying some pumpkin!
Expert Tips and Tricks
My top tip for this specific recipe is to use a larger bowl than you expect. One cup of yogurt may seem as though you only need a small container, but once you add in the pumpkin and account for room to mix it all up…YOU NEED MORE SPACE!
Want to make breakfast easy? Prep a few batches of this Pumpkin Spice Yogurt into a large container or many small ones. Having them in mini tupperware with your pairings ready to go makes for a simple morning.
Lastly, this recipe LASTS. That means you can premake it. If you are bringing it to an event later or tomorrow you can prep it ahead of time and be assured it will still taste like you made it fresh.
A Word From A Registered Dietitian
Every food item suddenly comes in a pumpkin spice flavor as soon as the temperatures begin to drop. Some are delicious and some are just straight up wrong!
A healthful and balanced diet is one that is flexible to the seasons but mindful of what your body needs. A pumpkin spice yogurt is the perfect embodiment of this!
