Peanut butter protein balls are the perfect health(ier) snack! You can make them ahead of time and have a treat snack for the week. Their combination of protein, carbs, and fat means you will actually be satisfied with these delicious little treats!
Peanut Butter Protein Balls Great Ingredients
- Oats: There’s a great amount of fiber hidden in these little oats! The resistant starch will assist in keeping you full and feeds your gut bacteria
- Peanut Butter: Creamy peanut butter is my go-to because it is the easiest to work with but it also is able to help bind the protein balls together better than compared to crunchy peanut butter
- Honey: Bring on the sweetness! Honey adds flavor, sweetness, and acts as another binder. If you are looking for an alternative you can use maple syrup! It will still add the same benefits as honey
- Protein powder: Make sure to use your favorite brand! Because these aren’t blended and have minimal ingredients the protein powder flavor will come through. I use Sun Warrior vanilla protein powder because it doesn’t have an overwhelming protein taste but still has 18g of protein per scoop!
Crazy Easy and Super Simple
Peanut butter protein balls have recently become something most people are familiar with lately- but why? They are easy to make and have simple ingredients! You pretty much only need one bowl and a sturdy spoon! The ingredients are simple and may be something you already have on-hand. You can whip up a quick batch without having to make a run to the store!
Protein Balls Nutrition Break-Down
Each ball roughly has:
135 calories
7g of protein
15g of carbohydrates
6g of fat
This means that these protein balls have a great ratio of protein, carbs, and fats that will provide sustenance and won’t leave you continually opening your fridge for something else!
