What is Noosa Yogurt?
Noosa yogurt is a creamy, whole-milk, Australian-style yogurt made in small batches in Colorado. Many of their flavors contain unpasteurized honey for sweetness and a fruit puree for flavor.
Noosa Yogurt Ingredients
Each flavor of Noosa yogurt will have slightly different ingredients. I tested the vanilla bean flavor so we are going to look at the ingredients in my flavor.
Pasteurized Whole Milk- This is the basis of the delicious yogurt!
Cane Sugar- Sugar makes this yogurt so sweet and tasty!
Vanilla Blend- My flavor was vanilla so this is necessary. Other flavor options may have a fruit puree in its place.
Wildflower Honey- This is similar to classic honey expect this version is sourced from the nectar of wildflowers! This alters the flavor profile and color.
Kosher Gelatin- This is used to stabilize the yogurt and help maintain its velvet-y texture.
Pectin- Again, this is typically utilized for its texture and stability qualities.
Live Active Cultures- These are probiotics! The good bacteria you expect to get from yogurt that are good for gut health.
All in all, Noosa has minimal ingredients and nothing unexpected!

Noosa Yogurt Nutrition Facts
When deciding if Noosa yogurt is healthy looking at the nutrition facts and ingredients plays a major role.
| Nutrition Facts | 4.5oz (single serving container) |
|---|---|
| Calories | 160 |
| Carbohydrates | 18g |
| Added Sugar | 11g |
| Protein | 7g |
| Dietary Fat | 7g |
In a more brief comparison to classic vanilla yogurt, this Noosa has slightly more calories, dietary fat, and added sugars while it is lower in carbohydrates and protein.
Keep in mind this yogurt is meant to be luxurious and delicious, not something that packs the most amount of protein per serving!
What Does Noosa Yogurt Taste Like?
The consistency of Noosa yogurt is thick and velvety. It isn’t as tangy as Greek yogurt; there’s a bit more added sweetness, too.
Rather than a hearty yogurt parfait I reach for a Noosa yogurt when I want a sweet treat.
Noosa Flavors
Some flavors Noosa offers are plain, hot honey (OMG!), black cherry, strawberry banana, blueberry, raspberry, lemon, cinnamon roll, and so many more!
In addition to the abundance of flavor options Noosa is also offered in multiple sizes. It can be purchased in 4.5oz single serving cups, a bit larger 8oz tub, even larger multi-serving tubs, single-serving multipacks, and mix-in’s.

Where to Purchase Noosa
You can find Noosa at major stores such as Meijer, Family Fare, Target, and Walmart. I am sure this brand will continue to grow as they are still releasing new lines of products!
Of course you can always grab some from Amazon Fresh (so, Whole Foods).
Similar Yogurt Options
If you enjoy Noosa yogurt you may also want to try Siggi’s, Brown Cow, or Fage 5%. These other brands use whole milk or a high milk fat percentage to reach that delicious creamy texture you love in Noosa.
A Word From A Registered Dietitian
Many of the Noosa yogurts are sweetened using unpasteurized honey. Pasteurization is simply treating the honey to heat to kill any potential dangerous bacteria.
It tends to generally be safe for adults to consume but be sure to consult a pediatrician before providing to any child under 12 months old.

Is Noosa yogurt a good yogurt?
‘Good’ is subjective! This depends on what your priorities are in selecting a yogurt! If you want a tasty, creamy yogurt this is delicious. If you are looking for one with minimal added sugars, this may not be ‘good’ for you.
What is the difference between Noosa and Greek yogurt?
To start, Noosa is Australian-style and Greek yogurt is Greek-style. Taste-wise, Noosa is a bit more sweet while Greek yogurt is more tangy. Nutrition-wise, there is a bit more protein in Greek yogurt.
Why is Noosa yogurt so thick?
There are a few techniques Noosa uses to reach the desired thick texture: use of whole milk, straining, and use of pectin and gelatin.
How much does Noosa yogurt cost?
The pricing of Noosa can vary store to store. At my local Meijer an 8oz (~2 serving size tub) currently costs $2.19 while the same sized tub is $1.80 through Amazon Fresh.

I’m 86 year old. I love this yogurt. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove the lid! This is the only negative I have.
Lauren Klein, MS RDN says
Hi Patty! I love this yogurt, too! The larger containers have a plastic lid you remove so you can pop it back on and store it in the fridge for your next yogurt snack! The single-serving cups have a piece of foil for the lid. There is a pull tab to help you remove it. This one isn’t resealable!
