When to Make A Ham and Cheese Wrap

Ingredients
The main ingredients you will need are:
Ham– Go to the deli section for freshly sliced ham or grab a prepackaged container for some cost-savings.
Cheese– Just like the deli meat, you can get this freshly sliced at the deli counter or grab a pack from the cheese aisle for a cheaper cost.
Wrap– use a high-fiber one for a easy fiber boost!
In addition, you’ll want your favorite toppings and dressings. I tend to love lettuce, tomato, red onion, and mayo on mine!
How to Make a Ham and Cheese Wrap
A Ham and Cheese Wrap is so customizable!
My favorite way to enjoy this wrap is with a layer of Mayo, deli ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, then topped with a little dijon mustard.
Add all of these (or your favorite!) ingredients to a wrap, roll it up, and enjoy!
How To Tightly Roll a Wrap
Rolling a wrap is something that takes practice!
Be sure to have a larger wrap or less ingredients than you’d expect to ensure a tight roll.
Start by having the ingredients stacked on the front half of the wrap, fold in the sides, then bring the front of the wrap over both sides and all the ingredients. As you roll, keep pressing in the sides.

Expert Tips and Tricks
Now that I’ve made this a few times I’ve got some expert tips and tricks you can steal:
- Don’t overload the wrap! It can be easy to add too many ingredients and end up with a sandwich that won’t close. Even worse, it may rip and make a mess!
- Try heating up your wrap on the stovetop! Place the part where the wrap ends meet to get some additional texture but also help hold it closed!
- Meal prep your wraps! Keep the wet ingredients and dressing on the side to make sure it doesn’t get soggy.

Additions and Substitutions
Some additions to consider adding to your wrap are:
- Pickles
- Banana peppers
- Black olives
- Avocado
If any of the ingredients I use aren’t your favorite you can substitute them with:
- Spinach, arugula, or micro greens in place of the lettuce
- Tomato, spinach, or white wraps
- If you need a different sauce try out: Cesar, Italian, or a spreadable cheese!
