3 Ingredient Cookies
I sometimes refer to these cookies as Cloud Cookies. Why? Because they turn out incredibly fluffy every. single. time. They are airy and delicious with minimal ingredients.
Imagine the light and fluffy texture of cake. Now, put that in a easy to eat cookie shape. You’ve got yourself a cloud-like cake mix cookie!
How to Make Cake Mix Cookies
Making these cake mix cookies is simple! You really just need to combine all 3 of the ingredients in a bowl, measure them into equal sizes, then pop them in the oven for 10 minutes. Easy peasy!
What You’ll Need
There are no false claims here! You really do only need 3 ingredients to make these easy cake mix cookies!
- Eggs
- Vegetable Oil
- Cake Mix
If you plan on using the same frosting technique as me you’ll also need some white chocolate wafers. But, they are delicious without as well!
Frosting Your Cookies
For these cookies I chose to use white chocolate instead of frosting. This amplifies the flavor of the cookie without overpowering it. To do this you simply need some white chocolate. I used Ghiradelli White Melting Wafers. These are easy to use and delicious to bake with.
I used a total of 1.5 cups of the wafers, broken up into three rounds. Microwave 1/2 cup of wafers in the microwave until just melted at a time. Grab your cooled cookie and dip the top into the white chocolate. Add any additional toppings at this time prior to it cooling.
Another way to frost these cookies is with a spoon. once you have your melted white chocolate use a spoon to plop some on top of the cookie. Then, use the back of the spoon to spread it out. Due to the consistency of the frosting it will spread out and harden evenly on your cookie.
When to Make These Cookies
This is a simple cookie recipe that can be tailored for any occasion! I used halloween sprinkles to make them appropriate for a spooky event but you could use any different holiday-themed sprinkles. You could even color the white chocolate to make them even more fun!
Basically, these cookies can be had for any occasion– even if it is a random weeknight cookie craving!

Easy Cake Mix Cookies
Ingredients
Cookies
- 1 Box Vanilla Cake Mix
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
White Chocolate Frosting
- 1.5 Cups Ghiradelli White Chocolate Wafers
- Sprinkles Optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a bowl combine cake mix, eggs, and oil. Combine.
- Use a cookie scoop to get the same amount of dough for each cookie. Smooth the edges of the cookies using your hands.
- Bake in the oven or 10 minutes. Take pan out of oven and allow to cool on the pan.
- Cookies must be completely cool before frosting with white chocolate.
- Microwave 1/2 cup of white chocolate wafers at a time. This allows you to frost the cookies without having to rush before the chocolate hardens. Either dip the tops of the cookies into the dish of chocolate or use a spoon to evenly spread the chocolate on the cookies. Add any sprinkles or additions before the chocolate hardens. Repeat until all of the cookies are frosted. Enjoy!
Notes
- Using a stone vs a metal baking sheet will alter the bottoms of the cookies. One will be more gooey while the other will be golden. Both are delicious!
