Drinking more water can be tough; Use these 11 Hacks to Drink More Water!

1. Add Some Produce
Use fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs to make your plain water a bit more exciting. You can even combine different one to make new fun flavor combos.
Try:
- Mint + Watermelon
- Strawberries + Basil
- Cucumber + Lemon
- Oranges + Ginger

2. Incentivize Yourself
Give yourself a little treat for sticking to your new habit of drinking more water. This could be a fun smoothie, some new shoes, or anything you deem worthy.
FYI: These hacks to drink more water may be something you need to work hard at in the beginning. They aren’t habits yet, and forming a healthy habit takes time!
3. Have A Goal and A Plan
Simply telling yourself you want to ‘drink more water’ doesn’t mean anything! Set a reasonable goal and make a plan to reach it.
Maybe you want to have a goal of drinking 1.5 gallons (192 ounces) of water in 1 day. Now you just need to make a plan. Does drinking 13 ounces an hour seem more reasonable? Of course it does!
4. Add Some Texture
Tell you to add some texture to your water may sound a bit strange. What I mean is to incorporate mineral water and sparkling water to your drink rotation! These still count towards your daily water intake, but may make it more exciting.
5. Get a Water Bottle That Times You
There are LOADS of water bottles that have little gimmicks to get you to drink more water. This may seem cheesy but i it works, it works!
One that has every hour marked off may help if you are aiming to drink a certain amount every hour!
6. Figure Out The Best Method For You
Some people drink more water when they use a straw and some drink more when they can gulp it. By figuring out which category you fall under, you can easily up you water intake!
7. Wake Up, Drink Up!
Make it a habit to wake up and look to fill up your cup with water then coffee! Maybe it would be easiest if you tell yourself you need to finish 12 ounces of water before you can drink your morning joe? I’d say that would give me a push!
8. Eat Your Water
You aren’t stuck strictly drinking your water. You can get tons of water through fruits and veggies.
I’m sure you know about how much water is in watermelon and cucumbers, but you may be surprised to know there’s also a high water content in:
- Strawberries
- Zucchini
- Lettuce
- Peaches
- Cantaloupe
- Celery
- Oranges
9. Carry Your Water
It is extremely common to carry a water bottle wherever you go now. Do that! By bringing your water bottle with you means you will always have water within an arm’s reach. Be that person!
10. Take Small Sips All Day
You don’t need to wait until you’re thirsty to take a sip of water. By the time you actually are thirsty, you’re slightly dehydrated! Take small sips every time you see your water bottle and you’ll reach your water intake goals a bit quicker!
11. Use a Flavor Enhancement
There are so many flavor enhancements available on the market today. You can flavor your water like ANYTHING!
You can pick one that contains caffeine but try to avoid one with excessive calories. Just because you are adding flavor to your water doesn’t mean you need to be adding any sugar!
